Ashland, OregonCovey Pardee Landscape Architects provided landscape architectural services for Southern Oregon University's new apartment style housing facility for upper-division undergraduate students. Designed to take advantage of the sweeping views of the Siskiyou foothills surrounding Ashland, the building was sited to preserve and feature a large native oak tree at the main entry. Covey Pardee was responsible for site grading, entry plazas, pedestrian walkways, irrigation, and planting design. The firm worked closely with the owner, project architect, civil engineer, and construction manager to develop a highly functional, aesthetic, and cost-efficient design solution for the steeply sloping site.
