Don Jones Park
Central Point, OregonThe City of Central Point first retained Covey Pardee in 2003 to prepare a master plan for their newest and largest community park. CPLA facilitated a series of public meetings and design workshops that lead to a final plan, cost estimate, and phasing options. In 2006 the City selected the team of Hardey Engineering & Associates and Covey Pardee to provide construction documents for the ten-acre park, which includes a water spray facility, children's playground, lighted basketball and tennis courts, restrooms, picnic shelters, a large central lawn, irrigation, and more than one hundred new trees. Don Jones Park is also the home of the Oregon Fallen Heroes Memorial. Phase one construction was completed in 2009.
